Grudging Lich, Gleeful Airhead

(( Just thought I'd throw this up here for us Treb. >_> It's going to be both mine and your posts combined. ))

Pandora's boots crunched softly as she walked through the market place, her eyes scanning left and then right as she looked at the numerous booths that were bartering any number of things. She shoved her hair behind her ears, already annoyed that she hadn't wore it up when she left earlier that morning, but there wasn't anything she could do about that now, not while she was trying to keep away from... him. She really didn't need any more annoyances today, already she had snapped at a group of... whatever they weres, barked at a lone bandit that was drunkenly wandering the streets, and almost killed some servant that stepped on her boot, though that particular servant got lucky a priest chose that moment to call her over. Apparently there had been... problems... with the way she had treated some... She didn't even know. All the beings she was rude to had started to blend together along time ago. Her hair fell infront of her eyes again, elliciting a sharp intake of breath and a low growl from the Lich servant. She hated it there, beneath the Dark Folly, that bastard Haseo lording over him like he was something great. Granted, Pandora would serve Haseo faithfully, but that didn't mean she had to do it with a smile on her face. Oh no, smiles were never on her face. Very soon though, almost as soon as she began wandering around the settlement, Pandora had started to feel that creeping feeling of being closed in, something she absolutely -hated-; which is why she chose to leave the center of the settlement and walk among the huts that occupied a different section. Every once in a while she would run into the occasional Snakeman, or Bandit, sometimes even crossing paths with those weird ass frog things, which creeped her out. She snorted at that thought... A frog creature creeping out something that was dead. Shaking her black and read strands slowly, Pandora continued her walk of nothingness, trying to relax her rather tense mind.

Leaning against a broken pillar hunk of rock, was a slender figure, who seemed like he was about to fall asleep. Shining violet eyes moved slowly across the broken fields of what had once been a thriving city. He hadn't been present when his Lord and Master invaded the pathetic world, but from what he'd seen of the survivors they were nothing to be impressed with. Long, pointed ears twitched as some rocks shifted around, falling to the ground, and his ears perked straight up for a moment, the elf scanning around for several long moments, before shrugging and tracing a bare finger along his tattooed chest. He had a great serpent tattooed there, coiling around his chest and moving up over his shoulder, down his back and curling down his torso and disappearing into the hem of his black, red and gold pants. If he were naked, one would see that the snake actually coiled all the way down to his ankle. Yawning a bit, the elf's ears drooped as he closed his eyes, leaning back even further against the rubble. He had a few more minutes left of watch, and he could afford a short rest while waiting for his relief. Probably just some blubbering, half drunk bandit who'd find the darkest hole to masturbate in. He felt a bit of excitement rising in his chest, knowing he'd be able to see -her- again. Oh, how he loved to see her... Though she often seemed to avoid him... and everyone else. Shrugging that thought off, he reached up and adjusted the sword on his back, held in place by a shoulder baldric. The blade's sheath only covered the base of the blade, and left the rest of the jagged dark metal to hang out for all to view. The entire blade didn't seem quite right, as though it hadn't been hammered out quite right, as though it was left with hundreds of grooves and dents. Even the tip looked like it hadn't been crafted quite right, giving it a bit of a curve to it. A very light red outline surrounded the blade. Hanging at his hip was a much smaller, more curved shortsword of similar metal. The elf would occasionally reach down and adjust his hip blade, and look around for his replacement, grunting in annoyance when he saw, yet again, that he'd yet to arrive. The moment he saw the bandit nearly waddling over to him though, the elf was off like a bolt shot from a crossbow, racing to the camp... and nearly running right into his obsession; Pandora. He attempted to skid to a stop, but only succeeded in tripping himself up on some loose stones and go rolling across the ground, landing neatly at her feat, his feet up in the air, and his ears dropped, one eye shut painfully. But still, the barechested elf managed a roguish smile up at Pandora, blowing a kiss at the Lich, "Hey there, baby. What's shakin'?"

Pandora could hear him running before she even saw him, which only annoyed her more. Why did he insist on following her?! Why couldn't he take the not so subtle, very in your face, hints?! Shoving her hair behind her ear, scratching her nail along her skin in the process, Pandora glared as she saw a figure dashing in her direction. "Fuckin Nancy Boy..." She muttered to herself as she looked around for a place to hide. There was a rather well hidden hole across the way, but she would never make it in time. "Oh Haseo be damned!" She groaned as she watched him... He was going to run right into her! Even as he attempted, and failed, a skid, he was going to barrel right into her! "Oh for fuck's sake!" She groaned as she watched him skid, trip, slide, tumble, and finally halt directly in front of her, his feet in the air. She snarled, her lips curling at the site of him, her eyes narrowing on his lips as he blew her a kiss. Quickly, her hands dropped her the twin katana blades strapped to her hip. They were magnificant blades of deep purple, a black glow surrounding the deadly metal. The hilts were jet black, small purple jewels encrusted into them. "Watch it Nancy." She growled as he stared up at her. It was almost comical to see her eyes narrow into tiny little slits at being called baby, and then to add insult to injury... what's shaking? Growling a little, Pandora rolled her eyes, pushing the elf's feet down with her hands as she shook her head, purple and black hair rustling noiselessly behind her. The deep purple pendant she always wore twinkled lightly in the light of the day, the silver chain glistening slightly. "I'm not your baby, as you very well know Nancy, so stop calling me that. I've told you a million times." She glared at him for a moment before turning on her heel and marching out of the alley, destination anywhere but there.

Setting his hands on the ground flatly, the elf quickly pushed himself up into a hand stand and launched himself into a crouched position, looking after her even as she threatened him. He couldn't help but smile wildly at her, reaching to nearly the hem of his pants to scratch at a scar running along his toned stomach, letting out a slight yawn. Looking after her as she walked away, the elf immediately stood up straight and jogged to match pace with her. Several bandits that saw the elf and the lich sighed and shook their heads, while the snakemen simply hissed in laughter at the odd pair. The elf reached up and began to scratch at his wild hair, which more often than not just looked like some sort of animal was resting on his head. He again began to trace his fingers along his tattoo, as far as the hem of his pants, gently tracing it as though trying to draw Pandora's attention down to his more private areas. His intents were innocent though; he simply always had to have something to do with his hands, otherwise he got jittery. More jittery than usual that is. Looking up slowly, the elf let a little frown trace his features, if only for a moment, as he saw the dark underside of the Dark Folly. How he wished he could find a nice tree to climb in, listening to the sound of the night as he looked at the stars, maybe playing his flute lightly. But the elf quickly brushed away those thoughts, he had his service to Haseo to think about, as well as a certain Lichess.... "What about Panda-cakes? Since you're not my baby or my babe." He smiled wildly and winked at her, his shining violet eyes seeming to flash for a moment. "Or I could call you my Panda. Pandas are really interesting creatures I'm told... Sorta like big, fat, black and white squirrels." He stopped short in his walk and blinked, muttering, "Maybe I shouldn't call you a Panda..."

Pandora's eyes narrowed slightly as he followed her, he was always following her, always right there, always so very near to her. And nine out of ten times, he was perfectly intent on simply following her, talking her ear off with mindless chatter. Growling softly to herself, Pandora stopped in the middle of the way and looked sideways at the elf, her hair falling into her face, slightly covering her eyes, which she hated. With nimble fingers, the Lich servant brushed the hair out of her eyes, a couple strands falling back infront of her face. "How about you call me Pandora?" She sneered, the thought of being called Panda... Well, she would simply cut out his tongue if he tried. Or maybe she would make it magically grow and start to strangle him with it. Tilting her head to the side, Pandora chuckled. That was the perfect way to go... Strangulation by ones own tongue. Shaking her head, rolling her shoulders slightly, the Lich glared at Sano for a moment before continuing her walk. She was to report to the temple in a couple hours, sentry duty of course... and she wanted a little time to relax before having to deal with the all annoying priests of Haseo; who she refered to as such unless she was in the presence of a higher up. They reached her house... if you could call it that. It was actually a hole in the wall, literally. When she had first come to the settlement, Pandora had hated the huts, hated that she would have to live close to people, so she had magically blown away parts of a huge boulder, with a little more magic, and some furnishings, her hole in the wall had turned into a place to live, equipped with door, window, bed, table, and fire pit. There were other things, though nothing of the personal nature, she didn't need personal things, but there were a few books scattered along a lone shelf on the rock's wall, as well as a small chair. As she stepped up to her hole in the wall, Pandora sighed softly, glad to be home once more as she sat outside, her magical hands quick to make a fire for food.

Sano blinked softly, and snapped his fingers, face lighting up instantly. "Pandora! Simple! Sweet! You're so intelligent." He nodded at that, as though that simple statement answered all questions in the world, before trotting after her. He knew where she was going; her home, if it could be called that. Sano himself generally drifted throughout the ruins rather than staying in one area. At least he did before he met Pandora. Now he just went wherever she did. Nearly bumping into one of the tall snakemen in his haste to catch up to Pandora, he missed the deadly glare sent his way that quickly turned into an amused glance. The snakeman obviously recognized the love-sick little puppy, and chose not to rip his head off this time... But secretly began to consider cutting his hair... Sano only grinned stupidly and waved over his shoulder at the humanoid serpent, prompting several hissing laughs from his companions. Sano shrugged away the laughs, and skidded to a halt a few feet in front of her hole. He smiled widely, as he always did, put his hands behind his head and walked forward, raising each foot high and proudly as he followed her into her sanctuary, paying no mind to what she would have thought of it. Wild Elves had little sense of personal space and property, and Sano even less so. Moving instantly to the little chair, he threw himself into it and snatched a book from the ground, turning it over in his hands and examining it curiously, his ears slowly folding downwards and twitching as he sniffed at the book cover. Cocking his head to the side, he stuck out his tongue touched the tip to the spine of the book, before making a face and tossing it to the side. "What are the point of those things anyways? They don't taste good... aren't shiny. They don't even smell good." He shook his head lightly, muttering softly about 'absurd little people', and pulled one of his boots off, deciding that his toe nails needed trimmed... with his teeth.

He was there... in her hole in the wall... And there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it. Pandora sighed and glanced over at the elf sitting in her chair... licking her book. She could kick him out, oh yes, but where was the point? He would be right back in, talking her ear off... once more... oblivious to her shaking rage. Shaking her head, Pandora glanced at the cackling fire and then her rather empty shelves that she used to store food. "Damn it..." She muttered, It looked like she would have to go catch her dinner; or steal it off of a drunken bandit, whichever came first. Glancing back to the elf when she heard the book slap on the ground, Pandora shook her head lightly, tilting it to the side for a moment. "It's called a book, Nancy. You read from it, not eat it." Her eyes went wide as she stared at him... eating... his toenails... "Oh. My. Haseo. What in the hell are you doing?!" Making a small wretching sound, Pandora stood, lightly brushing the dirt from her rear as she walked over to the table and plucked a rather old pair of clippers off of the table top. Walking them back over to the elf, she shook her head, growling slightly, "That's a great way to get fungus in your mouth dumb ass. Cut them with these." She tossed the clippers to Sano before turning, her fingers lightly scratching at the slightly torn pieces of flesh on her shoulder. Grabbing the bow and quiver of arrows from beside the door, Pandora walked outside, looking for any small animal to kill. Glancing up shortly as she exclaimed about his biting his toenails, Sano simply shrugged and returned to his nail biting, for the most part not even paying attention as she strode to the table and picked up the metal thing he'd seen on his way in. He only glanced up slightly when he heard her clothing rustling, and succeeded in recieving the clippers to his eye. Letting out a softly pained sound, the elf threw himself over dramatically back, and succeeded in knocking the chair over, falling on his head and rolling back. Reaching up, he gently massaged his scalp, groaning out a long and pointless, "Ooooowww." He glanced up as she started out of her hole, and sighed, "What'd I do? Panda-cakes! Come back! Or at least wait for meeeeee!" The elf dashed to his feet and almost ran out the door after her, but stopped short, glancing down to his feet; one booted and the other bare. He smiled stupidly, eyes crinkling at the sides as he wiggled his toes, ears moving up and down in a fast pattern as his face slowly turned red. "Forgot my boot... Heh...", he muttered to himself, turning and snatching up the black, red and gold trimmed leather boot. Slipping his foot into it as he hopped back to the door, the elf shouted, "Panda-cakes! Wait!" Hopping down from the hole, the elf managed to not fall surprisingly, and rushed off to her side. Smiling as he reached her, the elf planted himself directly in front of her, putting his face nearly in her's and asked with excitement, "Where're you goin? Can I come? What're we doing? We should find waffles..." The elf nodded cluelessly, in the the way that only he could somehow manage, and smiled back at Pandora again, his tongue poking lightly between his teeth, whose canines were slightly fanged as with all wild elves. "Oh! Maybe we can find a tree! Yes, a nice tree... and maybe something else... Like watermelon... Watermelon sounds nice... what's a watermelon?"

Pandora stopped short, her head whipping around as he called her... yet again... Panda-cakes. Growling lightly, fully intending to remind him to call her Pandora... The Lich servant stopped dead as she watched him hop along, trying to pull his boot on. "He's gonna fall... There's no way he's not gonna fall." She muttered to herself, her head tilting sharply to the left as he didn't fall. "Heh... was so sure Nancy would fall." Gods, she wished he had fallen, then she could have tried to escape, but no... As it were, the little bastard was right next to her now, his chops flying a mile a minute as he rattled on about... What in the hell was he rattling on about? Watermelon? Trees? Looking at him sharply, Pandora hissed "I'm out looking for something to eat, incase you failed to notice, I'm a little low on food supplies." Rolling her eyes slightly, Pandora eyed a strange black fox with red tipped tail and ears scattering through some grass. Lowering her eyes on the fox, the Lich servant almost pulled her bow and arrow, but then she clearly remembered seeing that same furry little thing scattering through the Dark Folly, the one time she had been there, being chased by... the Emperor's nasty little spawns. Sighing, Pandora turned away from the meal, focusing back on her surroundings and Nancy boy. "A watermelon is a type of fruit. It's sweet, juicy, and has little black seeds in it." She shrugged slightly as she turned her attention, and bow, back on the scattering wild life.

Sano blinked softly at Pandora when she hissed about looking for something to eat. Smiling softly he quietly answered, "I've got a few connies buried somewhere... All you had to do was ask, Panda-cakes." He smiled rather stupidly at her... before reaching up and sticking his finger in his ear, cleaning it with a smile still on his face. His smile only seemed to widen when he caught sight of the black and red fox, waving enthusiastically at the creature, "Hi there, foxie fox!" He laughed a little as the fox stopped and peeked its head up, looking at him only to raise one ear and cock the other to the side. Crouching down low on his haunches, Sano repeated the gesture, allowing one ear to fall lightly, while the other raised high... and then he stuck his tongue out at the little creature. Seeming to understand the gesture, the fox offered a few yips at him and growled, before turning and leaping away. Sano stood with a laugh, both of his ears raising high in his joy and wiggling, looking over to Pandora with an infectious smile spread wide over his features, his shining eyes flashing with excitement and joy that was a stark contrast to his bleak and dark surroundings. "C'mon, let's go get you some of my connies! I won't take no for an answer, and if-" He stopped short however, and ducked his head a bit, looking around nervously as his ears ceased their ridiculous twitching. "Did you hear that...?", he asked, voice actually sounding scared for a moment as he glanced around. Indeed, there was something in the air. A loud noise. Something that sounded almost like the rush of wind against something large. Huge in fact. Looking up slowly, the elf's ears fell low, and his face took an expression of awe and fear at what flew just a few hundred feet above them. Its body was long and thin, and its wings coated in what appeared to be some sort of purplish mist the billowed out as it flapped. A long, serpentine neck lined with spines curled up as its mouth opened and issued out a loud roar. Even from here, the elf could see the dangerous, yellow eyes; a Mist Dragon. He swallowed slowly and muttered, "I'm... I'm going to get a tattoo of that... on my shoulder... oh yes..." He swallowed again as the dragon simply halted in the air, flapping its wings to keep aloft and its head swiveling about, as though searching for something. The elf nearly whimpered when it looked right at he and Pandora... and he did whimper as it began to descend towards them. "Panda-cakes... I... I really wouldn't suggest moving...", the elf fell to his knees, and bowed low. He knew his place. Mist Dragons were high in their station to Haseo, often taking human shapes and acting as his advisors on matters of import, some even regarded as equals to their Dark Emperor and Mad God. For one to be flying so low and to actually be heading towards two lowly servants of Haseo? That was dreadful indeed for the wild elf. The dragon was nearly upon them, and, just as it looked as though it would crash into them, its form suddenly shifted into that of a pale skinned, dark haired woman, dressed in a flowing, showy black dress. Long black nails pointed slowly at them, and the mist dragoness hissed, her eyes still the same dangerous glowing yellow, "What are you two weaklings doing out here?"

Pandora stared for a moment at the pair, Elf and Fox, her eyes allowing a brief, oh so brief, moment of laughter, though the rest of her face was stoney indifference. Setting the bow on her back, next to the quiver of bows, the Lichess lifter her hand, brushing her hair out of her face. I'm going to fuckin cut it off, I swear to gods, I'm cutting the shit off... She thought darkly to herself as her head turned sharply to stare at Sano for a moment as he said something about connies. What the hell is a connie? She wondered, not truly wanting to know what kind of... whatever the elf ate. Her eyes travled over her... oh no, she was not calling him companion, she didn't care if he followed her to the ends of the Earth, which he porbably would, she was Not. Calling. Him. Her. Companion. Growling darkly, Pandora stared at his ears, wondering for a moment why they were so floppy, and she was just about to ask him such when... Her purple eyes lifted to the sky as Sano whispered about hearing something. Nodding her head, black and purple strands falling about her face as she did, Pandora put her fingers to her lips, shushing the elf. With wide eyes, the Lich servant stared at the Mist Dragon as she flew over head, envy and jealousy bubbling up, running through her entire system. Looking back at the Elf, Pandora shook her head lightly, thinking only to herself how cool that would look. Pandora had to hold back every thing she had that was screaming at her to kill that which lived as the dragon descended upon them, her better sense kicking in. That dragoness would flatten her ass and then shit on her carcass if she tried anything. Though she refused to get on her knees, that was a low she refused to go to. Looking down at Sano, Pandora could only wince slightly at his openess to kneel to someone. But she... oh she refused to admit that she had to kneel to anyone... except maybe Emperor Haseo himself. She held her ground firmly as the Dragoness appeared to not halt in her descent, the Lichess' eyes widening only slightly as she took on a human female form. Now... While Pandora refused to kneel, she had no desire to be cut into bits and fed to some beast or another. She also had no desire to take a visit to Cold Harbor, that horrible place that was whispered about among the lowly servents, which is why, as the Dragoness landed on the ground, Pandora bowed tilting the upper half of her body until she could look down and see the floor; but she didn't hold that pose for long, a mere moment or two passed before she stood, her cold purple eyes lowering until she was looking at the ground. You didn't look a Dragon in the eyes and expect to live through it either. "What are you two weaklings doing out here?" ... Weaklings? ... She just called us... Eh, me... a weakling? Oh Haseo help me... I'm going to explode... Keep my temper. Please keep my temper. Don't let me spout off at the mouth. Keep me sane. Keep me leveled... Grounded... Don't let me go off. Pandora was to busy running through her mind, begging whatever higher power there was to keep her temper in check, which is why her voice was barely a whisper as she spoke in a... rather clipped, off-set tone. "We are out, looking for something to eat. Does our presence annoy you Dragon? Should we leave?" She hadn't meant to add that last bit, but the sarcasm was second nature to her.
